This site which occupies 11 hectares accurately recreates the spirit of the ancient city backed up by the history and traditions of Uzbek lands and Uzbek people for the guests of the Silk Road Samarkand. The narrow streets here house multiple shops of artists, artisans, and craftsmen. The pavilions of the Eternal City were inspired by real houses and picturesque squares described in ancient books. This is where you can plunge into a beautiful oriental fairy tale: with turquoise domes, mosaics on palaces, and high minarets that pierce the sky.
Visitors to the Eternal City can taste national dishes from different eras and regions of the country and also see authentic street performances. The Eternal City showcases a unique mix of Parthian, Hellenistic, and Islamic cultures so that the guests could imagine the versatile heritage of bygone centuries in full splendor. The project was inspired and designed by Bobur Ismoilov, a famous modern artist.
Here you can walk along the streets of Samarkand, Bukhara, Ferghana, Tashkent, Khorezm, Kashkadarya, Surkhandarya, and Karakalpakstan without even leaving the SilkRoad Samarkand resort.
The central street with a ceremonial triumphal arch was named Samarkand. Guests of the Eternal City can walk along the road lined with natural stone to visit the National Library or the Puppet Theater and get acquainted with the art of embroidery, creation of national costumes, and minting, as well as try Samarkand flatbreads or samsa.
Fergana street running along the western border of the city will take the travelers to the lands known for their unique crafts. The first Uzbek land on the way from China to Europe is famous for its weaving goods, such as carpets and satin, Rishtan ceramics, and, certainly, local cuisine, Including legendary pilaf, flatbreads, and halva.
Half of the Eternal City is devoted to Bukhara and Khiva, which are famous for their art and architecture. This is where guests can see how the famous forged goods, decorative woodwork, and ceramics of Khanka and G‘ijduvon are created. In addition to workshops, guests of Khiva street can also attend classes at the School of Chess and the School of Applied Arts. A separate building is allocated for exhibitions and workshops of artists who work in different styles and genres but reflect the spirit and features of the fine arts of Uzbekistan.
Themed à la carte restaurant of national cuisine. This is the largest restaurant at the hotel complex. Its pride is the majestic 8-meter-high columns.
The menu is primarily represented by Uzbek specialties and traditional oriental recipes. Most ingredients are supplied from Uzbekistan to preserve authentic taste and follow cooking technology. It is a good place for holding banquets in the national Uzbek style.

The restaurant is named after Siyab, one of the historical and geographical areas of the city, and the river Siyab near the bazaar. The Persian and Tajik word “siyab” means black water.
The building exterior was inspired by Zoroastrian architecture and has specific ornament and decorations. Siyob is a themed restaurant of national Uzbek cuisine.

Tandoors are the hearts of Uzbek bakeries. They combine ancient recipes of Samarkand bread and original design.

Street musicians and other performers play for visitors to the Eternal City. Cultural events will be held here all year round. These include the international festival of applied arts, the ceramics symposium, the festival of traditional dresses of the peoples of the world, and the international forum of artists. Guests who visit the Puppet Theater will be able to see a performance of national Uzbek puppets skillfully made from papier-mâché. Their prototypes are characters of national fairy tales. In the souvenir shop at the theater, you can purchase your favorite puppet as a gift from your trip to Uzbekistan.
The Eternal City houses more than 50 workshops. Their owners will show and tell everything about the ancient crafts of Samarkand and Uzbekistan in general, such as woodcarving, ceramics, pottery, papermaking, jewelry, and carpets. Art salons and galleries of the Eternal City are also available for visitors. Here they can order portraits or professional photos.
